Stan Deetz, Ph.D. is President of Interaction Design for Innovation, LLC, and Professor Emeritus and a President's Teaching Scholar at the University of Colorado, Boulder. Stan's job and joy focus on facilitating high quality collaborative decisions by designing positive processes for helping diverse groups make creative mutually beneficial choices.
Stan has worked with domestic and international companies and projects focused on private sector organizational change, community decision-making and private/public cooperation. He is the author of nine books regarding stakeholder representation, decision-making, culture, and communication in organizations.
The program, Turning Difference into Creativity, will focus on developing workplace cultures that facilitate innovation and the design of interaction processes that utilize diverse perspectives and expertise to produce high quality creative decisions. The program will present instructive cases and interactive and experiential learning to help participants learn from each other and be prepared to add value to their home organizations. Specific outcome skills include ability to lead cultural change processes and greater capacity in developing groups and leading interaction processes that lead to meeting personal and organizational goals.
